PIPEOLOGY RACKBUILDER

THIS IS A WEBSITE FOR PRECISION CONDUIT BENDING. IT IS BASED ON THE BOOK PIPEOLOGY- The language of conduit. IT EXPLAINS ALL THE MECHANICS OF THE VARIOUS DIFFERENT TYPES OF PARALLEL KICKS AND OFFSETS, ROLLING OFFSETS, 3 POINT SADDLES, OBSTRUCTION AT CORNER, CHANGE OF RADIUS AND MORE. THE BOOK HAS NOW EVOLVED INTO A 100% MATHMATICALLY ACCURATE CALCULATOR FOR END to END CONDUIT BENDING. ON YOUTUBE( Pipeology Rackbuilder) I'VE TIMESTAMPED SOME IMPROMPTU VIDEOS AS SOON AS I GOT MY COPYRIGHT OFFICIAL FOR OBVIOUS REASONS. THEY WERENT THE BEST BUT I THINK THEY GOT THE POINT ACROSS. THE VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE WILL DEMONSTRATE THE BASIC REFERENCES WHICH IS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW TO USE THE CALCULATORS. I AM CREATING THIS WEBSITE AND OFFERING FREE LAYOUTS TO PROMOTE THESE CALCULATORS AND GET FEEDBACK AS I HAVE NOT PUBLISHED THEM YET. THESE CALCULATORS ARE SIMPLE TO USE REQUIRING JUST FOUR SIMPLE INPUTS TO GENERATE ALL OUTPUTS AND CAN LAYOUT A KICK RACK IN SECONDS, SIMPLE AS PUSHIN A BUTTON. IT WILL OUTPUT ALL INFOMATION TO PLACE BENDS AND EVEN TELL YOU HOW MUCH ONE CONDUIT CHANGES FROM ANOTHER FOR A REFERENCE. IF YOU'RE DOING A STUB, IT WILL GIVE YOU THE KICK LENGTH. IF DOING A KICK, IT WILL GIVE YOU THE STUB LENGTH. IM FINDING THIS SYSTEM WILL DO ABOUT ANYTHING I WANT IT TO DO, EVEN CORRECTING PARALLEL LENGTHS, BUT WITHOUT A DOUBT PARALLEL KICKS ARE THE TOUGHEST LAYOUTS.  IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO ASK.

B2 KICK (sister bend to B2 stub)

The advantage of this type of bend over the B4 is a smaller spacin to spread ratio, but choke will decrease as kick bend angle is increased. Choke can also be an input parameter.

  1. KICK________________( measurement to centerline of kick)

  2. RADIUS_____________(centerline radius of shoe)

  3. OFFSET______________(measurement of offset)

  4. ANGLE_______________(chosen degree of angle)

  5. SPREAD______________(distance between parallel legs)

or

SPACIN_________(dist. between stubs)

6. IN or OUT_______________(If starting on outside moving IN calculator will generate difference in tails. Smallest offset triangle on inside.)

B2 STUB (sister bend to B2 kick)

1. STUB____________(measurement to centerline of stub)

2. RADIUS___________(centerline radius of shoe)

3. OFFSET____________(measurement of offset)

4. ANGLE____________(chosen degree of angle)

5. SPREAD____________(distance between parallel legs)

or

SPACIN_____________(distance between stubs)

6. IN or OUT____________(If starting on outside moving IN calculator will generate difference of tails adjustment. Smallest offset triangle on inside.)

B1 KICK

The advantage of this type of bend is that all conduits are identical means that there is no difference of the tails. This make them perfect for doing parallels. Also the spacing and spread are the same and has a smaller spacin to spread ratio compared to B3. The disadvantage is that the choke distance decreases as the kick bend angle is increased. Easy bend except for placing. Because of the characteristics of this bend type, I built extra functionality into this calculator for adjusting the radius, offset and angle not possible for other bend types. In general larger offsets, radius, angles to the inside and smaller to the outside.

  1. KICK________________( measurement to centerline of kick)

  2. RADIUS_____________(centerline radius of shoe)

  3. OFFSET______________(measurement of offset)

  4. ANGLE_______________(chosen degree of angle)

  5. SPREAD/SPACIN_____________(distance between on both sides of choke)

or

CHOKE___________(dist. between on diagional)

IF YOU SEND A SIMPLE INPUT LIST ex(1,2,3,4,...) TO pipeologyfl@gmail.com I WILL GENERATE YOU SNAP SHOTS OF CALCULATOR AND RETURN EMAIL. PLEASE GIVE AS MUCH LEAD TIME AS POSSIBLE. ALL LAYOUTS ARE TO CENTERLINE. FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS.

NOTE: These layouts are based on a 10 foot dimension for the conduit. Make any allowances as necessary.
